6/13/02 AM Wrangell

Forecast for Wrangell is 72F and sunny. We are looking forward to biking around the area.

The motion of the ship is almost imperceptible. It's smoother than riding is a car. Of course the weather is great and we are on protected water passages on the inside passage.

Last night's dinner was such a nice surprise.

6/13/02 PM Wrangell

We are beat this evening! We got into Wrangell at 11:00am. We had lunch on the ship then walked to a petroglyph beach and back to the ship. After walking around town a bit, the two of us rode bikes (rented on the ship) eight miles out of town, to see a waterfalls. At eight miles we knew that something must be wrong because the distance was supposed to be less. Yup, the waterfalls were at six miles, so back we peddled. There are 440 steps to view the falls. I got half way up to the falls, then decided to save my weak legs for the six miles back to the ship. Mary went to the top, to see the falls. Fortunately we made it back to the ship before sailing time. We arrived at the ship just at the start of dinner, so we changed quickly (from our biking clothes) and went to dinner.

The food is soooooooo good, and is presented so well. Excellent!

The weather was fantastic today, and should be the same tomorrow.

The ship left Wrangell at 7:00pm and is now sailing to Sitka.
