6/23/02 PM At sea

Adios, Alaska.

Last night we left Alaska time and are now on Pacific time. How sad. It means that we are returning.

Yesterday (6/22) was spent walking around Ketchikan. The weather was good until we were back on the ship and ready to leave.

Today we are at sea, sailing to Victoria. If the weather is good, we will spend most of Monday seeing Victoria, BC, Canada. The sea has some white caps and swells so this is the only day of the cruise where we have to have sea legs and -hang on-. It's not bad, just interesting.

The cruise ends at 8:00am Tuesday morning, in Vancouver. We will tour the Vancouver and Victoria area on Tuesday and Wednesday, and fly home Thursday.

This morning was the "graduation ceremony" for the enhanced learning program (geology and glaciers for us). It was a last-time get-together for the participants.

Mary attended an art course this morning.

At a musical show in the evening, a song was sung about Alaska. Some of the words were: "I do not want to go. Just give me another hour at the top of the world."

I have taken about 800 pictures.
